Intro to Computers Workshop
The Introduction to Computers workshop will cover the basics of personal computer operation. Some topics may include accessing the drives of the computer, changing computer settings using the control panel, operating the toolbars of a window, accessing the internet, copying and pasting items, creating and saving files, and the use of shortcuts.
In the Introduction to Computers workshop, the participant will begin to put together a useable resume to send out and hand to potential employees. We have a variety of templates to choose from and will work to create a clean, concise, and contemporary resume using Microsoft Word. This one-hour workshop is designed to review your current resume or information and give you the start to your new document. Bring any old resumes, job information, addresses and names of past employees with you if you are able. Resume paper and envelopes are available for your use. Once your resume is completed, feel free to use the Career Center and the help available to also create a cover letter and a reference page.
