Summary:
Geauga County Job and Family Services is seeking an OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Administrator for the OMJ Division. The OMJ Administrator oversees daily operations of the OMJ division and administers Workforce Development and public assistance work programs. The role manages agency partnerships, contracts, budgets, and reporting; ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations; and represents the agency at meetings including NOCCOG, the Workforce Development Board, Family Services Planning and other related committees.

Job duties include but are not limited to: developing, implementing, and monitoring programs such as CCMEP, WIOA, RESEA, and Public Assistance work activities; providing training and guidance to community partners and staff; coordinating work activity assignments for public assistance participants; ensuring work participation requirements are met; supporting job seekers and employers by coordinating employment services, recruitment events, business services, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience; an eye for detail; strong communication skills including public speaking; experience in caseload management; ability to make independent decisions, solve problems and de-escalate situations; build rapport quickly; experience working with business communities preferred.  

Requirements:
- Two years technical training or undergraduate coursework in human services, social sciences, social work, business administration, or related experience. 
- Three years’ experience administering, supervising, or coordinating human services programs; or a combination of coursework/experience equivalent to minimum requirements as outlined. 
- Reading and speaking common English vocabulary.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and FBI/BCI background checks.
